The exterior of the hotel truly captures an age gone by whilst the interior has seen a lot of recent refurbmishment in the meeting rooms, event space, public areas and most of the bedrooms were also refurbished during the summer of 2009. 

It is the ideal base for touring West Yorkshire, the Pennines and the Colne Valley, yet is just 30 minutes away from both the cities of Manchester and Leeds.  The hotel is just 3 miles from Huddersfield city centre where you can browse the shops, cafes and bars whilst taking in the wonderful architecture as the city contains one of the highest numbers of listed buildings in the country.
