Performances will begin on the main stage from 4.30pm outside the Town Hall, with the lights being switched on at 6pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks display from the roof of the Town Hall. 23rd November – Slough Winter Festival Slough’s annual Christmas Light Switch On happily coincides with the Slough Winter Festival, a new project with Home on the High St, collaborating with Mandinga Arts and ArtReach. Visit from 2pm - 6.30pm to see creative artwork and Christmas lights. 29th November - Henley Christmas Festival Sample the delights of mulled wine, mince pies, street food, arts and crafts and so much more at the Henley Christmas Festival. See Santa in his magical Grotto at the Town Hall, where every child will receive a free gift. Don't miss the reindeer-led Children’s Lantern Parade, light switch on and carol singing by the tree. 30th November – LEGOLAND at Christmas There's nothing quite like LEGOLAND at Christmas. Enjoy twinkling lights, snow-dusted pine trees and exciting seasonal festivities. You’ll be met by one of Father Christmas’ elves, be guided through a weaving Christmas tree forest to Father Christmas’ very own cabin, where every child will receive a special LEGO gift. Begins 30th November and runs throughout December on the following dates: 1, 6-8, 13-15, 20-24 December 2019. DECEMBER 1st – 24th December – Windsor & Eton Living Advent Calendar Based on an original idea from Stockholm, The Windsor and Eton Living Advent Calendar is a collaborative project run with Windsor, Eton and Ascot Town Partnership and 24 local businesses to provide live entertainment every evening from 1 to 24 December 2019. Like a children’s advent calendar, a different window or door is opened every evening at 6:15pm promptly and a 15-minute performance is given to the audience assembled outside each participating business. There will be Christmas nibbles, drinks and the spirit of Christmas to celebrate at each event. 7th December – A Victorian Yuletide at Windsor Castle Experience a Victorian Yuletide at Windsor Castle with a variety of festive, Victorian-themed activities. From demonstrations by food historian Annie Gray and carol singing, to drop in workshops for decoration making 7th December – Carnival of the Animals Lantern Parade – Maidenhead The Carnival of the Animals Lantern Parade will be joined by 8-piece London-based Brass Band, The Brass Funkeys this year. The event is free to attend and open to all. You don't need a lantern to take part - everyone is welcome to come and celebrate with the community. 14th December – Slough Festive Fun Weekend Take the kids to the free Slough Festive Fun Weekend in the town centre, where festive activities will include meeting Santa’s animals, Christmas stalls, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon modelling, and much more.. 20th December – Christmas Raceday at Ascot Experience the ultimate luxury Christmas affair with Christmas Raceday at Ascot.
